ABSENCES

If your child is on school holidays: Please note that we won’t be charging you for the lessons your child will miss due to school holidays. However, you need to inform us in advance of his/her absence. Otherwise, sessions missed will still be billed.

If your child is absent due to any other reasons (i.e. school trips, general activities, or illness): You will be allowed to do a make-up. Please see our make-up policy below. If you must miss a class please inform us by calling/sms at 97507400 before the lesson whenever possible so we can give another child a make-up class in your child’s absence. Please be advised that there will be no refunds or no credit will be given if your child will be away due to these reasons.

If your child is sick for more than two sessions: If your child has a medical condition (e.g. severe infection or broken limb) which will prevent them from completing more than two weeks of the term, please provide us with a medical certificate stating this (before he/she starts missing those classes), and we will credit the fees you have paid for these classes towards the following term. If your child is only going to be absent from two classes because of illness, they can be taken as your normal make-ups per term.

If your child is absent from class for three weeks in a row without informing us: We reserve the right to assume that you are no longer interested in attending and may fill your space with someone else, because the instructor will turn up even if you don’t. You will also be liable to pay for missed classes.

mAKE UP CLASSES

If you give us advance notice that your child will be absent: The child will be allowed to arrange up to two (2) make-ups per term. No make-up can be carried over into the following term. Please inform Leslie at least 24 hrs in advance when arranging a make-up class. This allows the coaches to understand how many kids will be showing up in each class.

If you miss your make-up class: That missed make-up class will be considered one of your two make-ups for the term. We won’t be offering any more make-ups for missed make-up classes. Please be advised that TFL cannot be held responsible if the make-up options don’t fit your schedule or location preference.

RAIN / WEATHER

If the session will be cancelled due to rain: We will inform you thru SMS half an hour before the class or you may call our admin officer at 97507400. For swimming, the class only gets cancelled if it’s heavy rain or there’s a lightning alert. If it’s just light rain and the coaches feel that it is still safe for the kids to swim then they may decide to still run the class. Please note that it is the coaches’ call on whether class will go ahead or be cancelled.

Classes cancelled due to weather will be credited in next term’s invoice. Alternatively, a makeup session can also be arranged. In the event of interruption due to weather, you will be billed as below:

0-15 mins - no charge

15-30mins - 30 mins billed

30min-1hr - 1hr billed

1hr-1.5hrs - 1.5 hr billed

Withdrawal

If you do not wish to resume classes the following term, Please inform us at least two weeks before the start of that term in writing. Otherwise, we will assume that you will be continuing your regular class and will invoice you accordingly.

If you wish to withdraw your child during a term kindly inform the Administrator accordingly. Please note there is NO refund for the remaining classes that have not been taken for that term.
